Laura is an international strategic adviser to investors and companies with recognised expertise in the development of general business strategy and specific corporate objectives for sustainability, operational risk management, project development, corporate development, corporate finance and corporate affairs.
Laura has formed part of various Board advisory and executive management teams, with extensive experience in extractives and emerging markets. She has first-hand experience in advising, managing and overseeing complex business and operational issues relating to reputation management, sustainability and ESG (environmental, social and governance), crisis and risk management, legal and regulatory exposure and dispute resolution.
In a governance and regulatory context, Laura has a detailed and practical understanding of core international corporate securities and governance regimes (LSE, TSX, ASX and NYSE) and the related requirements for corporate and investor communications. Laura has helped a number of companies manage and understand the expectations of leading investor and shareholder advisory firms (corporate governance watchdogs, proxy solicitation and proxy advisers) and has experience in navigating shareholder and wider stakeholder activism activities in the UK and internationally.
Laura has received several awards in recognition of her in-house management expertise across various fields, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate securities, and dispute resolution.
Most recently she was identified as one of the 10 most impactful women leaders to watch in Mining by The Women Achiever (2023).
Laura is currently a member of the Advisory Board of Marlow Global. She is a native English speaker, fluent in French with business-level understanding of Spanish and German.
