Basrie Kamba has spent over 22 years in senior positions overseeing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) activities, stakeholder engagement, and non-technical risk for world-class extractive companies operating in remote and challenging environments in Indonesia. His experience encompasses roles at BP, Talisman, and Vale.

Prior to this, Basrie spent over 12 years as a journalist with the Jakarta Post and several years as a senior communications, policy, and PR consultant. He also sits on the board of Indonesia Business Links, a non-profit organisation that promotes ethical business practices for Indonesian companies.

He is a graduate of the University of Indonesia.
