Anthony Skinner

Anthony Skinner is a veteran consultant and team leader with a strong track record helping clients in the upstream oil and gas, mining, fast-moving consumer goods and financial services sectors identify risks and mitigation strategies. He advises senior executives on political, geo-political and reputational risks in complex and volatile jurisdictions across the world. He is a former director of a leading global risk intelligence company.
Anthony has extensive experience presenting on global and regional political risk trends at executive-level events. This includes Africa Oil Week, the Abu Dhabi International Offset Conference and the Marsh India Energy Conference. He is a guest speaker at the University of Bath and his analysis is regularly sought by the international media. Over the years he has written pieces for the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, the Financial Times, Politico and Petroleum Economist.
Anthony has an MSc in international relations from the London School of Economics (LSE) and an MA Honours degree in politics from the University of Edinburgh. He has worked in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He is a trustee at Media Matters for Women (MMW), an NGO which equips girls and women in Sierra Leone with the skills and knowledge they need to create the social change they seek.
