Alex Simakov

Alex Simakov is a Consultant with Marlow Global. He is an experienced policy development and stakeholder relations professional specialising in energy, climate and natural resources. He previously served as Policy Advisor to the Province of Ontario’s Minister of Energy, Northern Development & Mines, as a government affairs strategist for some of Canada’s leading clean technology companies, and recently concluded a Senior Research Fellowship on Energy Security & Climate Transition with Policy Exchange in the United Kingdom.

Through his advising of international clients on decarbonisation, electrification, environmental stewardship, and corporate social responsibility, he has contributed extensively to public policy, regulatory, and market development initiatives on both sides of the Atlantic. He is a frequent public speaker and contributor to industry conferences, and is regularly featured in publications on climate issues. He has a BA in Economic Development from McGill University and is a native Russian language speaker.
